So, I’ve always been a little bit of a cowgirl. I wore boots way before they were “in style” and in high school, I spent my spare time working with my horse instead of playing sports. There’s something about cowboys and cowgirls, roping cattle, the smell of leather and horse sweat, and those powerful, beautiful creatures that warm my heart to the very core.
You know what else warms my heart? People helping people. Friends and strangers, coming together to support a cause. Generousity… and genuine goodness straight from the heart.
This was my second year attending the “Dally for Dax.” It’s an awesome event to raise money for the DAX Foundation whose purpose is “to help the families and children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and other families in need.” Dally for Dax is the perfect combination of so many things I’m passionate about and I’ve been looking forward to it since last year. The event includes a team roping contest, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, and so much more. This year, they raised over $20,000!
Thank you to all the wonderful people who put so much effort into this, and for the many others who came out and supported it! Can’t wait for next year!
